I'm about to pull my hair out over this! I have no 'annotate' button anywhere in my Customize Toolbar window. Why? Makes no sense - anyone know how I can get one? Please let me know!

Debbie, my wife and I have had a good laugh, video Skyping from one room to another. Let's leave side applications out of this for starters. Here's what Skype does for us... You see yourself as you would see yourself in a mirror. If you hold up a book to the camera, the writing will appear backward.

The other person sees you as they would if they were standing in front of you. The writing on a book reads the right way to them.

Now, if you use iGlasses to flip your image, the flipping happens for you AND the other person, so that book would be readable to you, but backwards to the other person.

Kinda useless, when I think about it... the default behaviour of Skype makes sense. Why mess with it?

The Rotate image function in iGlasses is not much use, either, but I found that iGlasses did help me enhance the picture in low light.

My problem is that the *other* viewers (people receiving my Skype) see the mirrored image. I know this because I was holding up a paper with numbers on it for the others to view and all the numbers looked backwards. This is frustrating. How do I change it on their end?

On the other hand I seem to see their images just fine. Their numbers come out normally.

I ordered a new iMac. Came with the wireless keyboard but no numbers pad. Can I buy just a numbers pad without having to replace the wireless keyboard with the wired full keyboard?

I've done a little homework and now know that there are viable ways to deliver web video without plugins. Flash is not necessary and will probably be replaced quite soon by HTML 5 alternatives. Bad for Adobe, but probably good overall.

Properly implemented H-264 and Ogg video seem just as smooth as Flash video and they are less demanding on processors (important for mobile devices).

Hi, Mark. Happy 2010.
I am neither a laptop nor a projector owner but I found what looks like a pretty good Apple tech note here:
